The Annual Rally is on 25th April in the Assembly Buildings with Rev Brian McManus speaking. Seven out of the 16 halls will be holding missions in 2019. Pray that in those that have already taken place and those to come that the good news of the gospel will “find a landing place” in people’s hearts and minds. CHRISTIAN AID More than 2 million people have been affected by Cyclone Idai in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. An estimated 80,000 people have been displaced and at least 480 confirmed dead, with the death toll rising fast. Due to the nature and scale of the disaster we have set up a special appeal. Christian Aid is already on the ground in Malawi and Zimbabwe. Homes, schools and health facilities have been
demolished, roads have been blocked, and water and sanitation infrastructures have been destroyed, heightening the risk of water-borne diseases. As I write, heavy rains and floods continue to devastate agricultural activities, impacting livelihoods in the long term. If you would like to help Christian Aid in their work in this disaster, please put your donation in a Christian Aid envelope and mark it “Africa Appeal”. |
