FIRST ANTRIM PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

OUR VALUES

OUR VALUES, VISION & ASPIRATIONS...

We are imperfect people following a perfect Saviour. Our purpose is:
For the Fame of Christ, to be disciples and make disciples in Antrim and Beyond.
Below are a list of values and aspirations, tied to our purpose, that frame who we are and who we hope to be:
  • Prayer and the Word of God are central to the life of our Church.
  • Our Worship should be God honouring, joyful and uplifting.
  • We value togetherness, developing community in our Church family. We strive to be a friendly Church.
  • We long to see each member equipped to be an everyday disciple.
  • Evangelism at home and abroad is integral to who we are.
  • We seek to communicate the Gospel clearly and creatively to contemporary society.
  • We seek to show practical concern for all in need.
  • We are placed in Antrim Town centre and need to maximise the opportunity to engage with the community.
  • We need to be future focused. Whilst we learn from the past we do not dwell there. We lean and are led forward to the years ahead.
  • We will focus our resources on our mission to be disciples and make disciples.

FIRST ANTRIM SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding within First Antrim Presbyterian Church is of paramount importance as it ensures the well-being, safety, and dignity of all individuals, particularly the vulnerable members of our church. By prioritizing safeguarding, First Antrim Presbyterian Church not only fulfils its moral and ethical responsibility but also upholds its commitment to providing a sanctuary for worship, fellowship, and personal growth. It demonstrates a commitment to the principles of compassion, empathy, and justice, reinforcing the church's role as a place where individuals can experience spiritual and emotional nourishment without fear or harm.

CHILD PROTECTION
Child protection within First Antrim Presbyterian Church and Halls involves the responsibility of ensuring the safety, well-being, and healthy development of the youngest members of our church community. We prioritize child protection safeguards to protect against any form of harm, abuse, or exploitation, while creating an environment where children can flourish emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Implementing robust child protection policies and practices not only reflects the moral and ethical values of the church but also establishes a foundation of trust for families. Child protection within First Antrim Presbyterian Church is an integral part of fostering a culture of love, care, and support for the youngest members of the congregation.
