To those who come along each Wednesday. “We are gentle among you, like a mother caring for her children. We love you so much that we are delighted to share with you not only the gospel…. But our lives.” 1 Thess 2:5-8 Prayer Ministry Prayer ministry/Divine healing is God working to bring wholeness of body, mind and spirit. When you come for ministry of prayer it is to Jesus that you come. Many in our fellowship have received physical healing, others emotional and/or spiritual healing! That's why we provide opportunities for prayer ministry where people can come along for prayer and the laying on of hands. "You do not have, because you do not ask God." James 4:2. More could make use of this ministry on the last Sunday of each month after the pm service so please pray: That God would show us miracles of healing through our ministry to others. That we would do what God brings to us and be faithful in that and leave the rest to Him. That God would fill us with compassion for others particularly for the sick so that His power would be available to heal the sick. That in all the lovely things He does for the people we pray for that He will get all the glory and praise. That God would generously pour out his spiritual gifts to minister effectively to others and that we would 'eagerly desire the greater gifts'. That God would draw people to ask for prayer ministry. That First would acquire an atmosphere of the empowering presence of God and a readiness to believe in the miraculous. Friendship Group Meet 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1:30pm in Bruce Hall. OUR MISSION PARTNERS & PERSONNEL OVERSEAS At the start of another New Year, we want to thank all those who faithfully support our work in mission overseas through regular prayer, generous giving and in many other ways, and to encourage others to join in. Our partners overseas and those who we have sent to work alongside them are enormously grateful for the interest and support received from congregations and members throughout the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Be assured this is a huge encouragement to them as they see God answer the faithful prayers of His people. “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, be-cause we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people — the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world — just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” Colossians 1:3-6 [NIV] Let's follow the example of the Apostle, Paul, and KEEP PRAYING for God's people around the world. |
