STARTING STRONG: Building faith in our children
Date: Thursday 14th March // Time: 7.45-9.30pm // Speaker: Andy Frost (Director of Share Jesus International and the Kitchen Table Project) // Venue: Assembly Buildings, Belfast. This is a free event but it would be useful if you could register by 13 March 2019 Come and hear stories, share ideas and listen to Andy Frost share from his experience of how we can build faith in our children through the everyday chaos of life. Being a parent is an amazing experience but can also be really hard work. Being organised, making sure everyone is on time, doing homework, making dinner and getting everyone to bed can be tiring enough on top of work and other commitments. Sometimes sharing our faith with our children moves down the priority list at home. Research has shown though that when parents make faith an active part of home life, children are much more likely to have their own faith and stay as part of a church community. 'Starting Strong' is an evening to listen, share ideas and to hear from some parents about how they share their faith with their children. There is no one-size-fits-all guaranteed method, but sharing together and learning from each other is a good place to start. So whether you are a brand new parent or have primary aged kids and are worried it’s too late or simply are looking for new ideas and encouragement, this event is for you. Comments are closed.
