Christian Aid
CHRISTIAN AID At the morning service next week the special speaker will be Mrs Deborah Doherty. Following the service you are invited to a soup lunch in the Majury Hall. There will be a retiring collection for Christian Aid after the service for those unable to attend the soup lunch. Donations received from now until the end of the year will go to Breaking the Barrier, a new programme in Malawi, Ethiopia, Honduras and Burkina Faso. This programme will support women through projects like Aster, who found life a constant struggle. With training from a Christian Aid partner Aster and her sisters turned her small shop into a thriving business. They sell fresh water and soap and provide mobile phone charging. This brings in vital money for their families, renewable energy for their community and reduces their reliance on firewood. Aster now has freedom and power over her own life. She’s able to pay for her children's healthcare, send them to school and save for her young family's future. Money raised through our Harvest 2018 Appeal between now and the end of the year will be match funded by the European Union. Every £1 you give will be worth £5 for life-changing work in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Honduras and Malawi. Please pray that this appeal will have a worthy response. Comments are closed.
