This will be an opportunity to see and share in the work of 'Get Real for Christ' and appreciate the impact the provision of the digger is making as they serve in Olkinyei. The group size is limited to seven persons and the visit will extend to nine days. Two dates are presently being considered - 9th October 2018, and 28th October 2018. The cost of the trip will be £760 (flights) plus one night B&B in Nairobi. Up country travel and accommodation will be arranged by Gary & Mary. If you would like to be a member of the group contact Hugh Matchett for further information. HOLIDAY BIBLE CLUB: 27 MARCH—1 APRIL 2018 Yes, you read that right, not summer, but Easter! Something different for sure, but there may be a few untapped advantages… plus wouldn’t it be good to share something of our Easter celebrations with our community?
Please think about getting involved—whether as an “old hand” or a “newbie” - there will be a planning meeting on Tuesday 30 January @ 7:30pm. MINISTRY TEAM NEWS as was highlighted last Sunday, Rev Clarke Deering is working in a pastoral capacity with 1st Antrim while in-between ministry opportunities. We therefore congratulate Clarke on receiving a “call” to be minister of Fintona, Ballynattan & Creevan Presbyterian Churches. Rev Tom Pollock had indicated a number of months ago that he would be with us until the new year, and we’ll be sad to see him leave us. Tom will preach on Sunday evening, February 4th. In the new year, Dr Ian McNie will be coming on board and sharing in the pastoral work of First Antrim; Ian grew up in our congregation, and has served as minister of Kilkeel Presbyterian and recently retired from Trinity, Ballymoney. He was Moderator of the General Assembly 2015-2016,

THANKS I just want to express my thanks for the roles that members of this congregation played in Parkhall College’s “Big move” prior to Christmas. There were continuous expressions of appreciation from staff for the amazing help and provision of food. Many were touched by the generosity and kindness of the local church community. So to those who prayed, made sandwiches and helped with the move, a sincere thank you, Linda.
