“A new legal framework for abortion services in NI” Consultation The NI Office consultation on a new legal framework for abortion services in NI is currently underway. It closes on Monday 16 December @ 11:45pm and is available online at the following link: www.gov.uk/government/consultations/a-new-legal-framework-for-abortion-services-in-northern-ireland . Response to this consultation is open to anyone. It is an important way you can have input into shaping the implementation of this legislation which will have an impact well into the future. The Presbyterian Church in Ireland's Council for Public Affairs will make a formal response on behalf of PCI and guidance to help complete the consultation, based on our denominational response, will be issued by Monday 2nd December. On Thursday 5th December, 10.30am-12.30pm, West Church Ballymena, Evangelical Alliance are organising an event, "Give a Child a Chance". It is designed to resource and equip those seeking to make a response to the consultation. First Antrim congregation, through the Kirk Session, will be making a response to the consultation.
